Measure pads and window pictures
For businesses with the measure pads: starting a quote as an order, drawing a window, the workshop copy, and showing customers their own window.
Starting a quote
+ New quote first asks who it is for: search your customers or add a new one, then check the address, the job and the Rep, which only your team sees. Measure it: start an order opens the pads, and Type the lines opens the ordinary quote form. Worksheets you've started is on the same screen.
From a job, Start the order does the same with the customer already filled in, and Today lists orders measured but not quoted yet. Measuring works with no signal; quoting waits for it. When you are done, → Customer order makes the quote, and you send it from Quotes like any other.
Drawing a window
Every pad has a sketch for each window: Draw, Line, Arrow, Span, Text, Move and Window, and a Track menu of track shapes (single, double, corner and bay tracks) on every pad, shutters included.
- Text: tap where it goes, then type a number or a few words.
- Arrow: drag the way it should point, and a solid arrow head lands where your finger lifts.
- Move: tap a stamp, a shape or some text to move it, or drag its corner to change its size. Bigger and Smaller do the same for whatever is picked.
- Shapes you draw often can be your own stamps: add a PNG under My rates → Sketch stamps, and it sits in the Track menu on every worksheet.
Until you save, anything you added can be moved, resized or deleted. Once saved, the drawing is one picture.
Tracks and fitting on the curtains pad
Under TRACK, the list holds the tracks in your track price book and two more. Customer's own track charges no track, and the quote names no track unless you type one in the TRACK box. Other track — type the price is for a track your price book does not carry: nothing is worked out for it, so type its price in the TRACKS box. Until you do, the window shows a warning, and → Customer order stops and names it before any quote is made, as does applying a Less % on its quote.
Picking either one, or moving off it, clears a price already in the TRACKS box, so the window is priced by its new choice. To charge for re-hanging the customer's own track, type that price after you pick it.
Set a Fitting per window under My rates → Curtains, and each window you start on the pad has it written into its FITTING box. Change it or clear it on any window. Changing the figure later leaves windows already written as they are; left blank, no fitting is filled in.
The workshop copy
Workshop copy prints the specs and drawings for whoever makes or installs the order, with no pricing. Each drawing is cropped to what was drawn and enlarged so it reads on paper. Once a customer has accepted, it prints the latest version they agreed to, marked with its version and when it was printed, and rows added or changed in that version are marked. It needs a connection, because Mist prints it.
Showing a customer their window
With AI window pictures, a sheer curtain or a set of shutters can be shown in a photo of the customer's own window: on the curtains pad, the eye button on a sheer window with a fabric typed in; on the shutters pad, "Show (their name) these shutters in their window" in a window's menu. Add a Photo of their place and press Make the picture; it takes about half a minute. It is an impression, not a colour match.
Then text or email it to them, Try another fabric in this photo, or Put on a quote, so the choice is on the paperwork. Other blinds have no pictures.
50 pictures a month are included, counted on Perth's calendar month, and a picture that fails costs nothing. Past that, the account owner can buy a picture pack on the web from Billing: 50 for $19, 150 for $49 or 300 for $89. Bought pictures never expire, and each month's 50 are used first. Nothing is charged until you choose a pack and pay.
