This is the work nobody sees and the reason a floor stays flat. A slab with a ridge where a wall once stood, or a timber floor that has sagged between joists, will make a hard floor click and lift within a year.
At the measure we run a straight edge across every room and test the slab for moisture. Anything that needs grinding or levelling compound goes on the quote as its own line, with the depth at the worst point, so you can decide on it knowing exactly what it is for.
